The project entailed everything from the conceptual groundwork to the meticulous execution of each podcast episode. Responsibilities encompassed content creation, scheduling, recording, and post-production, ensuring each episode resonated with our target audience.
Our mission was to position "Merge with Caution" as a pivotal source of knowledge and insight for the M&A community. We aimed to equip our listeners with the tools and understanding necessary to navigate the M&A landscape confidently.
We crafted a podcast voice that was both interesting and informative, aiming for a mix of expert insight and friendly conversation. It's made for everyone in the M&A world, from beginners to pros, with content that's as educational as it is fun.
Taking the lead on my first ever podcast project was an exciting challenge. I came into it without experience in podcast production. But I embraced the opportunity to build this show from the initial idea all the way through to the finished product.
The hands-on learning process was extremely valuable. I planned out episode formats and helped edit segments. This covered many different skills I hadn't used before.
Now having gone through the demanding process of creating a podcast from scratch, I feel well prepared to take on another podcast project in the future. I better understand all the different components that go into producing a podcast series. And I developed useful skills in project management, hosting, interviewing, and editing that I can apply to future opportunities. Overall it was a tough but a rewarding first effort that gave me new capabilities and confidence.
